Monmouth Duo

The philanthropy, called Monmouth Duo, benefits Reading is Fundamental and the Rose McGill Foundation.  Kappa Kappa Gamma and Pi Beta Phi hold this philanthropy together in honor of the place they were founded, Monmouth College.

"Monmouth is such a fun week
because it not only brings our two
houses together, but we meet so
many new people"

Osteosarcoma Benefit Dinner

Our newest philanthropy, the Osteosarcoma Benefit Dinner just began this 2007-2008 school year.  One of our active members became inspired to begin this philanthropy after a close friend was rediagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.  After many months of hard work and dedication the Gamma Eta chapter successfully put on an inspiring dinner and slide show recognizing our friend as well as bringing attention to the importance and significance of research for Osteosarcoma. We raised $9,000 in the end and are excited to continue this philanthropy in the coming years.

RIF (Reading Is Fundamental)

While RIF has only been our national philanthropy for one year, chapters have enthusiastically supported our newest project. Chapter women donated 9984 books to Boys and Girls Clubs, elementary schools and hospitals. Local and national RIF projects received $13,506 from chapters. Chapter women donated 5265 hours to reading, mentoring, tutoring, and writing journal buddies and pen pals.

Rose McGill Fund

This fund was established in 1922 to give confidential aid to deserving Kappa's of all ages who suddenly and unexpectedly find themselves in financial need due to misfortune or illness.
